| Annuity Starting Date, as defined by the IRC, which is defined as the greater of 1954-01-01, or the contract date, or "the first day of the period [payment mode] which ends on the date of the first annuity payment." For example, if the contract date is 2005-01-01 and monthly payments beginning in three months is elected, the Annuity Start Date is 2005-03-01 and the (income, payment) Start Date is 2005-04-01.
