Description |
Business Service |
Type : Complex Element |
Definition |
Provides information about a specific service supporting a business process. A business process is made up of one or more business services. Each business service then maps one-to-one to a specific message (e.g. ACORD Life and Annuity 1201), so for our purposes a message and service may be thought of synonymously (a service can be thought of as an implementation of a message). Each service may support either/both inputs (messages it consumes) or outputs (messages it produces). The business service can be used to identify the specific specification used (e.g. "ACORD Life and Annuity Transaction Specifications" for "ACORD LA Document Send Transaction Specification"). |
