Loan1035 is the amount of the old policy's loan, if any (usually only applicable if Internal1035 is TRUE).The portion of LifeUSA/Amount1035 that is 'impaired', i.e. borrowed by the policy owner. If the source of the 1035 exchange policy is 'external' (not the same Carrier), then this value will typically be 0.0, because the external Carrier will require that the loan be repaid at the time the policy is exchanged (and Amount 1035 will be appropriately reduced). In the case of an exchange within the same Carrier, it may be permitted that the loan be transferred to the newly issued policy, in which case, this value will reflect the loan amount. |
