Marital Status of the Person. MarStat and spousal information are independent fields. A MarStat with tc=1 for 'married' does not automatically imply the availability of spousal information. A Relation object referencing a party representing the spouse (Relation.RelationRoleCode tc=1 for Spouse) is needed to determine if spousal information exists.
