The calculated total amount upon which the mortality factor may be applied to determine the annual Required Minimum Distribution amount for this annuity for this calendar year. This amount represents the annuity's "entire interest" which includes the contract value as of December 31 of the last calendar year based on the RMDTaxYear and may include the actuarial present value of additional benefits that will be provided under the contract, if the actuarial present value is to be added per the IRC regulations. For example, if the RMDTaxYear is 2020, the RMDBasisValue is the value from 12-31-2019. The party that calculates the RMDBasisValue will determine the specifics of the formula considering their interpretations of the IRC regulation, actuarial assumptions, etc. as well as whether the actuarial present value should be included in the basis value. The December 31 account value may be found on Policy/PolicyValueLastYear, and actuarial present value in Annuity/RMDActuarialPresentValue. |
