Identifies if solving for an amount or a number of years. This is specified within the Illustration Transaction that identifies the main type of solve.Example - if you are solving for a maximum level withdrawal that will achieve a specific cash value, you will have a minimum of 2 Illustration Transactions - one will be primary type ILL_PRI_DIST which will have a SuppSolveType of Solve For Amount. The other illustration transaction will be the proposed new Primary Type of ILL_PRI_TARGCV whose <IllusTxnAmt> is the target cash value for the solve. If the user wanted to solve for the maximum number of years to make the withdrawal and still achieve the target cash value, the Supplemental Solve Type would be Solve for Years instead of Solve for Amount. Supplemental Solve Type of Solve For Years would not be applicable to coverage solves that iterate in order to achieve a target and the user must use Solve For Amount. |
