Definition
The OpenTravel Ground Transportation reservation (booking) request message includes the information required to create one ground transportation reservation that may have multiple segments associated with it. Reservation request information includes: -Point of sale information for the requestor -Availability reference ID (A reference ID that was returned in a prior availability response message and may be used to reduce the amount of duplicate information in this request) -Service locations, that include pickup, stop(s) and drop-off details -Primary passenger and additional passenger contact information -General passenger information that may determine the class of vehicle required -Passenger preferences (including service type, vehicle type, disability equipped vehicle indicator and recommended maximum passengers and baggage) -Rate qualifying information associated with the vehicle and/or ground transportation service -Payment rules that are applicable to a specific vehicle or ground service type

Elements
GroundReservationA collection of reservation requests.
PaymentsPayment(s) associated with all ground transportation reservation requests. Note that if payment information is included at the GroundReservation level, that payment information overrides this global payment information.
POSPoint of Sale Identification. Identification number of the vendor that has made the vehicle availability request and agency number assigned by IATA, ARC, ESRP or TID.Point of Sale (POS) identifies the party or connection channel making the request.
ReferenceA reference ID that was returned in a prior availability response message.An identifier used to uniquely reference an object in a system (e.g. an airline reservation reference, customer profile reference, booking confirmation number, or a reference to a previous availability quote).
TPA_ExtensionsA placeholder in the schema to allow for additional elements and attributes to be included per Trading Partner Agreement (TPA).Allows extensions to be added to the OpenTravel specification per trading partner agreement.
