| Definition |
| The appointment collection represents the various appointments between the agent and various companies. The appointment may be to an insurance company (carrier), but also can be used for appointments to distributors (e.g. MGAs and National Accounts) who have similar processes for appointments. Appointments are assigned to each producer by each company by jurisdiction. In some companies, an agent also has to be 'appointed' for selling particular products. |
