Definition |
TRUE indicates that market value adjustments apply. FALSE indicates market value adjustments do not apply. A market value adjustment increases or decreases a value based on the difference between the credited interest rate and current interest rates. Often, the current interest rate is based on the interest rate available for new money. If the current interest rate is higher (lower) than the credited interest rate, the affected value is decreased (increased). |
