| The Description field defines a human readable, displayable, paragraph of detailed
information for the corresponding object/concept. It provides a more detailed explanatory
narrative for the object/concept and is used in conjunction with the 'Name' field to
identify and explain in more detail the purpose and meaning of a concept/object.Typical display usage would be as 'hover text' or in a message area when the
corresponding object has focus or is otherwise selected in an application. It works in
conjunction with, not instead of, the 'Name' element.The Description element is typically used on more complex repeating objects, such as
Features, Riders, Commission Options and so forth, where a more detailed narrative is often
necessary. |
